Women who genuinely enjoy horror movies are one of the holy grails of het dating, along with women who play video games, women who read comics, women who cook better than your mom, and women who let you do that thing with your thing - I think you know what I mean. I've dated only a few women who will even pretend to stomach a horror movie (be it of the 80's-style slasher film or the newer psychodramas), and even fewer who will stand up and root on the movie's antagonist. Those who I have forced to sit through a horror movie emerge either visibly bored or mentally scarred - to wit there would be NO snoggings to be gained from a female pressed into my burly manarm for protection. If you're ever trying to use a movie to get makeouts, you're better off brandishing your machismo by suffering through a romantic comedy than trying to prove your courage in a horror movie.
