Memo: CAPTAIN SQUARE'S HOMEPAGE
So at this point, you're probably noticing that Captain Square isn't an exceptionally well-written or pointed comic. Yes. I know this. I didn't TRY to write it well, I was going more for art, and camp. It's ACTION, baby!
There is a line that is drawn between "humor" comics and "action" comics. The two very seldomly meet in print form, due to the constraints of space and such. You end up doing some comics which are funny and some which are action, and the two never really mix. Once you get into anime, though, the expanded borders and room for content allow you to get a decent mix - like Trigun or Tenchi Muyo.
In the realm of "silent action" cartoons, even before Samurai Jack, there was a little number called Aeon Flux. I wish that I had that collection on DVD. When it was on (I was younger), I couldn't appreciate how cool it was.. but in hindsight, rose-color tints it five shades of awesome.
Comic updated 3x a week. Usually.
